HAIR EXTENSIONS WASHING TIPS

ALL HAIR

  • Condition (co-wash) your hair once every week and shampoo every other week with sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners.
  • Let your hair air dry. If you use a hair dryer make sure it isn’t too hot and use a heat protectant.
  • Do Not use a lot of styling products. It will make the hair heavy and give you a greasy look.
  • Try not to cut wefts, if you do seal your wefts before installing to ensure longevity of your hair extensions.
  • ALWAYS use heat protectant before using any kind of heated styling tools (if not used your hair can becomes very brittle and produce split ends/breakage and frizzy/dry hair).
  • Be sure to wrap your hair each night. Depending on texture you should braid or twist your hair.

WAVY HAIR

  • Condition (co-wash) your hair once every week and shampoo every other week with sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners.
  • Let your hair air dry. If you use a hair dryer make sure it isn’t too hot and use a heat protectant.
  • Do Not use a lot of styling products. It will make the hair heavy and give you a greasy look.

CURLY HAIR

  • Condition (co-wash) your hair every 2-3 days and shampoo every week with sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners. The products used (gels, curl creams, oils, etc.) will weigh your PH hair down. Shampooing will allow you to cleanse your hair of these products. It allows you to revive the original bounce and movement of the hair.
  • Wrap, braid, plait, or twist your hair every night. Then secure that with a silk or satin bonnet.
  • Limit heat on the hair. This hair is of a fine texture and is sensitive to heat. If you choose to straighten the hair use a heat protectant.
  • Use a combination of water and conditioner in a spray bottle and spray on hair daily to freshen up curls.
